Mikiko Murakami, DO, is a board-certified physiatrist and pain medicine specialist at Spine & Sports Medical Group in Campbell, California. She completed her PM&R residency training at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, and her Pain Medicine training at UCSD in California. She has an integrative approach to rehabilitating patients from various chronic and acute pains.
A patient of multiple failed knee surgeries, Dr. Murakami sought out various forms of medicine outside of Western health care to fully recover. She used these challenging experiences to create her own path as a physician and a healer.
After founding a San Francisco-based integrative medicine practice, Dr. Murakami learned how various modalities of medicine can work together to prevent and heal diseases. Now, as a member of the Spine & Sports Medical Group team, she provides patients with a host of treatment options, including hands-on osteopathy and acupuncture, integrative medicine consultations, regenerative medicine, and interventional pain procedures. This includes injections to the spine, joints and nerves, and implanting devices such as spinal cord stimulators.
Dr. Murakami adopts a holistic approach to pain treatments and rehabilitation, and treats each and every patient like family. Relieving pain and restoring the overall quality of life for her patients is where she thrives. For more information about Dr. Murakami, please visit my website.
